There's now 4964 lovely people joining us, you all know being curious about conversations that count in business makes you unique to me, together we will 'Find & Speak'.

Please share with the lovely people in your network who need to feel inspired and take action for themselves.

Speak the truth, even if your voice shakes

Remember last week I touched on our psyche?

Our psyche allows us to think, judge, and feel emotions.

A lot of what we imagine is not true.

How we play out a conversation in our heads is NEVER the way it plays out in reality, does it?

The first step to making conversations count is to recognise how we think, judge and feel about it ourselves.

Once we align our own true beliefs the relationship with conversation becomes easier.

Our understanding can focus completely on how we can be helpful to the person IN the conversation with us.

Listening back to yourself in conversation is a valuable exercise and one i help support clients with because i remember how cringeworthy I felt in the beginning.

There are many levels where this can be developed, strengthened and confidence built which is how my own services have derived in different forms to be able to support the different learning styles of individuals.

Through preferential ways in which my clients absorb, process, comprehend and retain information.
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Anything said with truth, even if your voice shakes, leaves a lasting impression.

We hear the words genuine and authentic banded about all over content posts on social media, and I openly endorse writing as you speak, because it is how we can begin to influence and connect with others.

Connecting with ourselves and others is how I help people in their outreach work over the telephone however it always leaks into other areas of our business activities and lives too.

By meeting new people at networking or connecting with people on platforms like LinkedIn here, we all need to be mindful of the approaches we make and how that is received.

You all know those pitch messages as soon as you connect or when you hand over a business card you wouldn't say 'Buy my stuff'. But let's save that for another time.

This cropped up in the business conversation with Sean Foley who runs safety training business called Total Buy In. He also helps through his Facebook Group called 'Endless Stages for Aspiring and Experienced Speakers' the name says it all.

We had a great conversation around his own journey and how that has aligned to allow Sean to help others. Tyler lost his Dad at 6 years old and I don’t mean he misplaced him, he died.

Tyler also suffered a personal medical incident (not dissimilar to Justin Beiber) leaving his facial muscles paralysed ending his childhood stardom.

Now it’s no surprise that Tyler dotes on his daughter, Kenzie and draws comparisons.

Wildly entertaining conversation and we even get to hear some tips on public speaking and body language (would be wrong not to since that’s his day job now).

So let me tell you briefly what you'll learn from listening:

  • Freddy vs Jason (1m13s)
  • What Tyler does now (4m10s)
  • Everyone says you need to sell the benefits. It's actually more about selling the solution! (8m30s)
  • Tyler's favourite family trip (13m39s)
  • Mannerisms. Hmmmm… (26m10s)
  • Tyler’s conversation that counted (39m50s)

"Wendy.. if you were to do your podcast the next time, sitting on your hands and never move, people would be like, what is wrong with this episode? They wouldn't know, right? They couldn't see, but they would feel that it was just a little off...."
