Find and replace: How to edit lots of text all at once

Proof reading through text can feel like a nightmare job, especially if you find a lot of the same errors. Here’s how you can use Microsoft’s find and replace tool to speed up your process and reduce the risk of losing your marbles.

Using Find and replace

  • In your word document, click to the top and use the keyboard shortcut ‘ctrl’ + ‘H’
  • This will bring up the find and replace box. In the first ‘find’ box, type the word you are looking for throughout the document.
  • In the second box type what you want the found word to be replaced with.
  • Hit ‘Replace All’. This will automatically change all those incorrect words in the document saving you time and energy.
