Find A Parade And Get In Front Of It

In the late 90's, I met radio promotion and marketing consultant Doug Harris. Doug introduced me to the term, "find a parade and get in front of it". Harris advised radio stations to find something that hundreds of people were excited about, get in front of it and make it your own. In 2016, with social media, you should be using Doug's advice from the 90's. Find something that thousands of people are passionate about and then make it your own by creating and sharing unique content. During Gonzaga's ride to the Sweet 16, 700 ESPN's Facebook page found the parade and got in front of it. In one week, 700 ESPN's Facebook page reached 356,000 people, generated 46,000 reactions, comments and shares and created 140 new page likes. My advice? Find a parade and get in front of it.

9 年Love you Barrett! We miss you Friday mornings but always hope you are doing well.

9 年Good advice, Mike. (I hope a parade forms in back of your post and goes on for miles.)
