Find Their Mates
I was happy to see the sun shining and the temps rising today, so hopefully we've managed to dodge the bullet on the bad weather all the other areas are experiencing. When looking at the nasty weather they're having in the other more 'pleasant' areas of our country, I guess no matter where we live on the globe, we're liable to experience some of the most un-heard of weather conditions, and all due to climate change/global warming.
Knowing I was running out of supplies for my on-going project, I figured it best I get them replenished, so I headed down to Diamond Vogel and ended up buying enough to hopefully last me until it's finished. Yes, I'm on the downward slide and glad for it.
For whatever reason, all the statements I needed to get this past month's accounting/reconciliation completed, happened to arrive several days early, so I sat down and spent a good two hours paying bills and working on my journals which took me up to the Noon hour.
I had make several follow-up calls to lenders asking about where we were on the loan processing of recent sales, and from the sounds of it, they're still looking like they're gonna get approved and subsequently closed. I know some of our lenders consider me a bit of a pest at times, but it's always good to give a little nudge, just to keep the process moving along. I'm now thinking of that two-sided old saying that goes, 'The wheel that squeaks the most gets the grease, but if it squeaks too much, the wheel gets changed.', which is always good to remember.
I placed a call to my dear friend whom I'd not spoken with for well over a week, and from the sounds of it, she'd been battling a bad cold since after Christmas, but at least she's now on the mend. Yes, there's some nasty stuff floating around North Iowa, so do be more careful when out and about.

She definitely had me going when talking about a certain 'family' we'd been entangled with on and off over the years, and after getting loaded up on even more information about that family's bloodline, it's no wonder I had a very bad feeling about one of them from the first time we met. From what was told me today, the reason there were so many interesting characters in that extended family, was likely due to poor spousal choices. Well, back in those days, those close-knit communities didn't travel far enough to find their mates. The craziest of things, is my having long-after discovered that an odd duck whom I'd done some real estate work for years ago, happened to be related to that tribe. Without a doubt, the generational offspring of that bloodline would be a classic example of morphic resonance.
My afternoon listing appointment went very well today, but when I went to process the photos, I discovered only about a third of them were captured, so I'll have to go out again tomorrow and re-take the ones I lost. My gosh, that was definitely the first time such a thing happened with my camera, and hopefully the last. I'll be sure to have all the information and photos disseminated out into the cyber-universe before the end of the day tomorrow. What an embarrassment!
When reading the news today about Facebook no long fact-checking, it appears we're gonna get bombarded even more with fake news on the social medias. I still can't believe how many in our general public feed on all that garbage, and thank goodness I've not allowed myself to get pulled into believing such nonsense.
Tonight's One-liner is: You can't build a future if you don't have a past.
