The initial excitement of becoming a software engineer for newbie coders keeps them going for a while. Any newbie has lofty ambitions with expectations of high salaries and the freedom to work from anywhere in the world. This initial high can last weeks or even months

After a while, the high begins to wear off and we are faced with the true realities of what it takes to be a good software engineer ie the long hours of practice and dedication required to write code, the tedious nature of debugging and the attention to detail that is required

A study conducted by Free Code Camp found that out of 400,000 people who started their coding curriculum, only around 5% completed the full course. Other studies have shown that up to 70% of people who start coding bootcamps end up dropping out before completing the program. A product manager in a tech company is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a product or set of products. The work of a Product Manager has a business outlook, and their key concern is building a viable tech product that will generate revenues for the business.

Conducting market research and analyzing customer needs to determine the product features and requirements.

A UI/UX designer is responsible for creating visually appealing interfaces for digital devices. UX/UI designers usually have strong graphic design skills with knowledge in adobe suite of products and figma

UX/UI does not require coding skill or knowing how to code.

TECHNICAL RECRUITER

A technical recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring technical talent for a company. Technical recruiters publish job vacancies, screens candidates and pair them with hiring managers to assess the technical strength of the candidates.

They then provide feedback to candidates, review their portfolios, crosscheck their references, and negotiate their salaries and other benefits.

This job role does not require coding but requires understanding the terminology associated with the technical aspects of the job to properly interview the candidate.
