Find answers to these 10 Questions before starting your business journey.

Before, jumping to the actual topic, let me take a moment and say a big "Thank You!", we have crossed over 200 subscribers, we thought of going live on LinkedIn and doing a cake cutting, but before setting a cake cutting session, I went to YouTube , and saw roasters video, roasting about such celebrations. (Fir toh tumhara bhai, line laga deeta roasters ka, LinkedIn pe), then I control myself and thought of expressing it in our Know The Crux way.

So Let us not divert and get back on the Know The Crux Wednesday knowledge.


As we discussed earlier on the external stakeholders, let us take a moment to understand our internal stakeholders, so let's get started first with the Founder of the startup.

We know, how Founders have gone out of their way to nurture their startup, its community, and its customers. However, we never know, how to go ahead with the first step of the startup, but, we know the first step lies in the Ideation stage.

So let us know The Crux of the phase that is before starting the business.

We strongly believe, that the questions will ALTER as per your conditions, your markets, and your goal, however, this is the basic template that would help you understand your business idea, evaluate it, and know the worth of the idea.

These are the basic 10 Questions, that will give your business idea worth.

Q1. Why do you want to start the business?

  • The answer to this question will give you the actual reason for yourself to go ahead and will support you in your low times, as the entrepreneurial journey is full of Ups and Downs, while you are at your up, this question answer will give you the motivation to be on the upper side, and when you are on the downside, this question's answer will support you to really give out the best version of yourself and also will support you to be aligned towards your goal and push yourself to the upper side.

Q2. What is the problem that particularly affects you?

  • The answer to this question will give you the actual marketing tactics, and marketing strategies, to let your customers reach out to you for that particular problem, what you are facing, and if the answer is similar to what the market needs at that moment, then voila, see you on the other side of the table hustling and bringing up the best version of yourself, and vice versa, that is how will you reach out your target audience.

Q3. What do you want to achieve?

  • As the question is straightforward, here the answer will give you the importance of your idea, and bring out the best way to reach out to your customers, internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, etc. (who are your real stakeholders for your business), imbibe the actual reason, and would support your team to imbibe the vision and implement it in their every interaction with each other, with customers, with retailers, with investors, etc.

Q4. Do you have the preferred skills to run the project?

  • I am sure, if you are working on your startup or planning to launch a new brand in the market, you have heard this line from your parents, girlfriend (s), boyfriend (s), mentors, etc. which goes like this, "Startup soochna aasan hai, par jab banane jaate ho, tabh pata chalta hai, kitna papad belna padta hai", which in English translation goes like, "It is very easy to think of building a startup, but it is very difficult to build the same, and in that process one's know what it takes to build it".

Q5. What are your needs, to achieve that higher goal?

  • This questions answer will help you to prioritize your activities and actions. I strongly believe that when you want to be at that level, you have to gain experience accordingly, so that you go ahead and plan.

Q6. Do you need any partner to achieve your goal?

  • As the famous topic is done in entrepreneurial journey is whether you need to have a co-founder & not always you have to do all things on your own, many times it is good to outsource. So, when the answer to this question, can be done in the ideation stage as well as while you are in the business journey. In short, the answer to this question gives you an additional hand to enhance your offerings.

Q7. Are the business goal, a long-term goal, and growth?

  • As we usually say and discuss, before starting the product development, one should always start with their brand's vision and brand mission, which defines your business in the eye of customers, by what they can expect from you, and with this, the answer will also help you to understand that whether your business idea is for the long run, personally I believe, this answer will always be supported by your customers, by explaining them about your offering and how it will support them if the answer reaction is in the positive direction, then you will need "How do people get attached to your product?"

Q8. What is your market?

  • The basic understanding, one should always have even if you are not in the entrepreneurial journey, by this answer you'll always understand about the whole market, about whom we would be catering to? Who will buy the product? Is the product/service feasible to be offered in that particular geographical region? by finding the answers to all these questions, one would get to understand the market, bring out the product as per the regions, and be required by the market.

Q9. Who is your Target Audience for your offerings?

  • The answer to this question will give you a great hold on your offerings, where you would know about what to bring out to the customers, so they buy it and we solve their problem statement, instead of just be in the history, so why not make history with our offerings. Also, it will give you the right answer of what to bring out to the customers, and what enhancement to be done in our offering, so that the product/service should be their only choice.

Q10. How will you test your idea?

  • Testing your idea is the final step in which we would be bringing out the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) or work and bring out the MDP (Minimum Delightful Product), (Know The Crux of MVP and MDP) so also we need to test whether the product/service, is giving the thrill and those adrenaline rush, just like us on our passion working and ambition.


However, if you are planning on building and erupting the startup space with your next big idea, do share it with us, which would not only help us but also will support you in doing the market research.
