Financial Well-Being with Author Wayne Titus

Having been especially busy over the last month helping clients cope with the impact of the coronavirus outbreak on their individual, family finances, as well as the impact on their small businesses. Wayne Titus, the author of The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Financial Well-Being, shows business owners how to build a dependable, communicative relationship with a financial adviser who understands their unique needs. Here are the top three things we learned from his time on the Critical Mass Radio Show and Podcast!

1. Find a trusted advisor. Not any advisor will do, but an advisor that is interpretive, collaborative, and has your business's best interest in mind. Another important note to add about advisors is that they provide a different perspective that includes tax, financial, and investment strategies that help you and your business grow and succeed. As entrepreneurs, sometimes they are not aware of what they don't know when it comes to finances and taxes, which is why it's extremely important to find an advisor to help.
2. Focusing too much on what's important and balancing work-life can get difficult. Emphasizing the need for advisors, that provide guidance and outside perspective on things. Allowing for time to focus on passions, like the business, and building relationships with clientele. Confidence for achieving financial well-being security is of utmost importance to integrate the tax and investment strategy and gain all the benefits.
3. Understand your options during a pandemic. As many small businesses are either slowly reopening, or changing gears during these unprecedented times, it's important that there are still viable options for both you and your business to develop a cash flow timeline. Such as applying for the emergency disaster loan or a paycheck protection program for employees, which were not previously available before, and as a business professionals look into these with your advisor.
