Financial Stability Is Critical to Your Overall Health

Financial health can dramatically improve your life and prevent hardships. Financial health means you have the ability to reach your goals, you can take advantage of opportunities, and you have the?flexibility to pursue your dreams.

Reaching your goals at every stage of life comes with some financial prep. Think about your biggest financial dreams, like buying a house, sending your kids to college, or planning for retirement.

The only way to achieve financial health is through financial literacy. Being financially literate means you understand the importance of saving early and often to reach short- and long-term goals (like retirement).

It means you understand the difference between good and bad debt, and can avoid high interest credit cards. It also means that no matter your stage of life or income, you know how to live within your means, stick to a budget, and spend responsibly. (Just 44% of Americans could cover an unplanned $1,000 expense such as a car repair or emergency room bill from savings.*)

Don’t let a lack of knowledge prevent you from securing your family’s financial future. Understanding your finances, including life insurance and why it matters—is the key to protecting your family and your overall health.?
