FINANCIAL SECTOR REGULATION ACT, CYBERSECURITY AND CYBER RESILIENCE REQUIREMENTS

The long Cybersecurity and Cyber Resilience requirements are coming into force 1 June 2025. Link The document is fairly comprehensive. I recently had to dig into it from a Data Security perspective. It takes many of the well established security standards, and makes them a regulatory requirement. This is actually a good thing from a Cyber Security perspective, as it moves the onus from the security team to a compliance team - probably making it easier for the CISO to implement security without having to justify the spend!
