Financial Learnings from Ayodhya and GIFT City -Wisdom of Wealth Creation

My Dear Son,

As your father, it is my heartfelt responsibility to share crucial financial wisdom with you, beginning from your early years. As you continue to grow, I encourage you to delve into thorough research about two remarkable cities in India—Ayodhya and GIFT City. The date tomorrow, the 22nd of January 2024, will be etched in history as the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya takes place. It's a global event drawing Hindus from all walks of life, irrespective of their financial standing. Please know that my intention in sharing this isn't rooted in religion but in the recognition of a significant moment.

Now, let me shift your attention to GIFT City, situated about 40 kilometers from Ahmedabad in Gujarat. GIFT stands for Gujarat International Finance Tec City. Our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, conducted bilateral meetings with global leaders in this city. You might wonder how these cities are related to your financial education. Well, individuals with profound financial acumen have long been monitoring the developments in Ayodhya and GIFT City. These visionaries foresee the substantial infrastructure growth these cities are poised to experience.

Just recently, the government in Uttar Pradesh announced the construction of a world-class city spanning 1000 acres around Ayodhya. The consequence of these advancements has been a gradual but steady rise in real estate prices over the past couple of years, reaching its pinnacle in recent months. This strategic move, often termed a "masterstroke," is a testament to how savvy individuals generate wealth over time by employing common sense. I must admit, I wasn't as astute in my decisions.

My purpose in sharing this is to underscore the importance of being aware of how wealth is generated, not just in real estate but in any asset class. It's crucial to keep a keen eye on news that may impact an investor's ability to build wealth. In conversations with some entrepreneurial friends, they shared stories of acquiring properties that have significantly augmented their wealth.

Financial education, unfortunately, isn't a subject taught in schools or colleges. While I wholeheartedly encourage you to excel in your chosen field and earn a comfortable life, it is equally important to comprehend the nuances of managing money. Throughout history, we've seen high-earning individuals facing financial ruin due to a lack of fundamental financial awareness.

I'll do my best to impart the lessons life has taught me, but I want to emphasize that I'm no expert. You'll need to keep this in mind and seek out a mentor to gain financial mastery. Reading extensively is the least you can do, and the rest will fall into place as you become the best in your craft.

Tomorrow marks a grand puja in Ayodhya, a moment celebrated globally and a source of immense pride for Hindus. I hope to take you to GIFT City soon, so you can witness firsthand the economic dynamism taking place there.

Take care, stay focused, and let excellence become second nature to you.

With all my love,

Papa
