This is governed by Law No.85-09 of 4th july 1985 having to do with expropriation for public utility and the modalities of indemnisation, its Decree of application in 1987 and Decree No.2003/418/PM modifying compensation with regards to indemnisation for the destruction of trees and food crops.
What interest me most is the last Decree of 2003 spelling out the amount of compensation for destruction which varies from vegetables and cereals with compensation of 150 FCFA per metre square, while others are compensated per head like cocoa, palms, rubber etc varying from 5000 FCFA to 35000 FCFA per head taking into consideration their ages.
Those doing the economic and judicial maturation - should make sure this Decree is applied to the letter and the amounts found there in respected.
