Whenever I hear the above question from my acquaintances, I remember the following story

This story happened in the pre-computer era.

There lived a rich man in a town and he had a beautiful daughter of marriageable age. As is the practice at that time, he made it known to all the villages, towns, and cities that he had a beautiful daughter and those young men in a similar age group can come on a particular day and assemble before his house to compete for his daughter’s hands.

There were a lot of young men who had gathered in his house on the appointed day. He took them all to the riverside and told them that whoever swims from one end of the river and comes back in the quickest time will win the hands of his daughter. Everyone was raring to go on hearing the word “Get Set Go” from the rich man’s mouth. The rich man said that it is my duty to warn that there are some crocodiles in the river and said “get set go”. Most of the young men stepped back, not knowing what to do. When everyone was hesitating, one fellow jumped in, swam as fast as he could, and reached back the shores where everyone was standing and watching him in horror. He climbed the shore. Everyone wanted to ask him how he could take such a huge risk. What if he had lost a limb, then he would have been handicapped for his life.

Before anyone could ask him anything, he angrily asked the crowd “Who pushed me into the river?
