FINANCIAL EXPANSION WASN'T SOMETHING THAT CAME NATURALLY TO ME

I don't own a credit card or have any store cards. I travel and do everything with cash. I've been doing this since I became debt free 6 years ago.

SOME COOL THINGS THAT I DID IN 2019 INCLUDE:

?? I hosted 3 international retreats in Sri Lankan and Thailand and am still alive to tell the tale ??

?? Renovated my mom's house in the village and turned it into a retreat center and hosted 2 retreats in that house

?? Paid my mother for the use of her house and helped her create an extra stream of income using the property

?? Renovated my apartment in Cape Town (every square inch) and paid for everything in cash even though it cost an unexpected US$10,000/ZAR140,000

?? I increased the rental price on said apartment by 75%

?? Launched the Property Magicians Podcast, a real estate podcast, with Mizo (my co-host)

?? I discovered 5 hour massages and my life has never been the same ??????

?? I moved to Sri Lanka semi permanently (I am there right now)

FINANCIAL EXPANSION WASN'T SOMETHING THAT CAME NATURALLY TO ME

I'm not sharing my 2019 successes to brag, but to show you what is possible when we heal and start focusing on expansion. When I'm really honest, money wasn't an easy thing for me to deal with - I wasn't like other people who could easily manifest money and just struggled with managing it.

Nope!

I sucked at managing or saving money. I panicked at the very idea of managing money or withdrawing money. I couldn't make money consistently, even if I tried.

Yeah, I could manifest large amounts of money sporadically from my side hustles, but when I did make it, I couldn't save it. By the time that large amount of money was manifested, I had managed to accumulate a lot of debts and expenses and I barely saw the money. Or I'd be so overwhelmed by my debts and expenses, I'd spend the money recklessly and wouldn't even bother paying off debts ??????

I ran my first company for 4 years and in all those 4 years, I only made US$500 - I undercharged for my services, was too scared to send invoices and clients very rarely paid me for my services (I never followed up on payment and often I'd just tell them it was free) ????

It was a mystery to me, how people could set income goals and consistently reach them, without feeling deep dread and anxiety every month.

I really believed I was cursed or bewitched and I felt ashamed because I thought there was something wrong with me. I mean, what else could it be? I had a finance degree and an MBA, but I couldn't make money or see the fruits of my studies. So I went on a journey - I shut down my first company, unlearned everything I knew about money, changed my spending habits, and became debt-free.

I thought - that's it. I have mastered money, finally!

Until I found myself in my cousin's apartment in London, crying out of fear because my soul wanted to travel again and to start building my company on the road but I was too scared to follow my soul guidance because I was petrified I'd get back into debt.

In that moment it hit me - I hadn't mastered money, I'd changed my spending habits and mastered that, but I had no idea how to stay out of debt or consistently create an income for myself so I could keep expanding financially.

I was still scared and playing small. Money was still controlling my business and life decisions. I knew that my resistance and my inability to make money or expand, had very little to do with practical knowledge - after all I'd gone to school to learn money stuff. I went on a journey to learn about financial expansion and went deeper into understanding intergenerational trauma and enlisted my paternal aunts to help me understand our ancestral trauma and to see how it had affected us all financially, from generation to generation.

And this is how the #MoneyMagic course was born - a course that is focused on the holistic and practical aspects of money and I have seen, how it has changed others' lives as well.
