The Financial Diet’s Guide To Abundant And Intentional Living Coming April, 2024!

If you’ve been following (or reading, watching, listening to, etc.) The Financial Diet for a while, you probably already know who I am. If you don’t, hello! I’m Holly, creative director of TFD, and I’ve been working behind-the-scenes on nearly all of the content you’ve seen from us over the past seven years. And today, I get to share something incredibly exciting with you all:

Our second book,?Beyond Getting By: The Financial Diet’s Guide To Abundant And Intentional Living, is coming to you April 23, 2024!

This has been the most thrilling project of my professional career to date, but more importantly, this book is an amalgamation of all of the values and insights I’ve collected and nurtured over my years working here. If our?first book?was a 101 primer on getting your money together, this book is all about what comes next:

  • How do you make financial decisions that consistently match your values, and therefore make you happier?
  • How do you advocate for yourself?and?those coming up the ladder behind you in a world full of mediocre nepo babies?
  • How do you move beyond the hustle culture narrative and build a career that allows you to live the burnout-resistant life you want, rather than dominating your whole life?
  • How do you create the kind of equitable home life that’s a buoy to you, rather than simply another source of stress?

And because you all have loved the custom worksheets we’ve been designing for our in-house events over the years, this book has been an incredible opportunity to take those a step further and create something tangible, beautiful, interactive, and that we just know you’re going to love owning. In?Beyond Getting By, you’ll find full-color interactive exercises designed by TFD’s co-founder and designer and my now-longtime friend, Lauren Ver Hage. You’ll find a shame-free budget planner, a DIY investment strategy, a self-advocacy journal, a 4-day workweek proposal template (complete with Chelsea’s apt commentary on the subject), and?so?much more. (The book is also filled with original illustrations from the immensely talented?Cindy Niu, who also helped bring to life the book cover that we’re beyond obsessed with!)

I’m so honored to have had the opportunity to write this book. Money is about much more than the dollars in our bank accounts: it is a tool for security, freedom, and getting to choose the life you actually want to be living. It also would not have been possible to put together without this incredible community we have built over the years. We created this book with all of you in mind, and we hope it is exactly the kind of holistic approach to money and life that you can turn to again and again as you need it. You can?preorder now, and watch this space for more exciting updates as our publish date draws nearer.

I cannot tell you how much this community means to me, and to all of us here at TFD. Sharing this with you will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of my life, professionally and otherwise. Thank you so much for your ongoing support!

<3?Holly Trantham, creative director of TFD

The Financial Diet is my favorite gift to give to all my friends - when I worked at Wellington Square Bookshop I always made sure it was in stock. Looking forward to this new release! PS: Come to Philly again! Had a great time last month!
