?? We present the paper titled "Are Green Funds for Real?" by Tammaro Terracciano, Assistant Professor of Finance at IESE Business School in Spain. He collaborated with Coralie Jaunin, a PhD Candidate at the University of Lausanne Université de Lausanne and Luciano Somoza, Assistant Professor of Finance at ESSEC Business School.
Key Insights: ?? Green funds significantly increase investments in firms that actively address climate transition, even after accounting for environmental scores. ?? Firms that mention climate transition for the first time see their green fund ownership double compared to similar firms. ?? Importantly, these firms reduce carbon emissions within a year after discussing climate initiatives.
This research underscores the power of strategic communication in attracting green investors and driving environmental impact. ????

Securities Sector Organize Shares Venture Workshop “Smart Investor”
To disseminate the culture of investment in the securities markets and sound ways of investment in the sector to strengthen correct investment skills for minors, the institutions operating in the field of securities represented by the Financial Services Authority (FSA), Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) and Muscat Clearing and Depository Company (MCD) held Shares Venture Workshop “Smart Investor” in collaboration with Oman Across Ages Museum for school students at ages 9-14 years.
The workshop included a number to topics to acquaint the participants with the institutions operating in the securities sectors in the Sultanate of Oman and bests ways of saving and investment.
