Frankfurt Main Finance?(FMF)
?? Shortage of skilled workers in the financial sector: What the industry ?? says ?
The Center for Financial Studies (CFS), together with Frankfurt Main Finance (FMF), publishes the CFS Index, which measures sentiment in the financial industry on a quarterly basis. In the special question, specialists and managers were asked this time about securing young talent and dealing with the shortage of skilled workers - the results are revealing: ?
?? Age structure: A majority of 55.3 percent of respondents consider the age structure in their company to be balanced. However, almost 40% of respondents see a problem in the fact that their company employs too many older employees. Especially in view of the rapid digitalization, this represents a challenge that requires new qualifications. ?
?? Invest in training: In times of changing work requirements, the training of the workforce is crucial. Almost half of those surveyed (44%) consider their company's investments in this area to be needs-based. Nevertheless, 52% call for more commitment and investment in the qualification of employees - 43% consider the efforts made so far to be too low, 9.5% even far too little. ?
Quote Hubertus V?th, Managing Director Frankfurt Main Finance: "It is pleasing that the financial sector has taken up the challenge and is investing in training and further education. The increasing use of AI offers enormous opportunities to inspire people and increase productivity. Now is the time to establish appropriate certifications and training courses and to advertise them confidently." ?
The results of the study show that the financial sector is facing major challenges, but also has many opportunities to counter the shortage of skilled workers. In particular, companies can equip themselves for the future through increased training and the targeted use of AI. ?

His remarkable career spans leadership roles such as the former CEO of Credit Suisse and Prudential, with significant contributions to the global financial industry.
