Finance and Purpose: The Intersection for Fulfilment

Finance and Purpose: The Intersection for Fulfilment

Hello Purpose Seekers,

Today, I want to dive into a topic I’ve been eager to discuss for some time—finance and purpose, and how these two vital aspects of our lives intersect. I’ve always believed that when you find your purpose and align your career to live it, prosperity naturally follows. And by prosperity, I’m not just talking about happiness and fulfilment; I’m also referring to financial freedom.

This morning, I had the pleasure of recording a PurposeCast podcast episode with Maxime Chaury , co-founder of Upworth, a platform designed to help people take control of their finances and become their own CFO. We had a rich discussion about the connection between financial literacy and living a purposeful life. We touched on how having your finances in order is crucial for anyone embarking on the journey toward purpose. One thing I always emphasise is that when you truly pursue your purpose, financial rewards follow—not because of some magical law of attraction, but because when you’re passionate and aligned, you naturally excel.

When you’re living your purpose, you start creating real value by solving problems, serving others, and contributing something meaningful to the world. And in turn, prosperity—including financial success—flows into your life. But here’s the key: don’t chase the money. Chase your purpose, and the financial rewards will follow as a natural consequence.

Max and I also talked about how having your finances sorted out makes the journey to purpose smoother and more sustainable. Imagine you’re on a long journey to a beautiful island. You wouldn’t set sail without enough fuel, right? The same applies to purpose—your financial “fuel” sustains you through the ups and downs of the journey.

In my coaching, I always emphasise the Four P’s that guide every purpose-seeking journey:

  • Purpose: Discover what truly drives you.
  • Perspective: Shift your mindset to see opportunities and solutions.
  • Prosperity: Manifest prosperity through practical, tangible actions.
  • Plan: Execute a clear, actionable plan to achieve your goals.

In today’s podcast, Max and I explored the need for a mindset shift around change and prosperity. I tell my clients that change is not something to fear—it’s what fuels growth, and growth is the key to unlocking your purpose. But beyond that, we discussed Prosperity, one of the key pillars of the Purposeek Coaching Method. Many people mistakenly associate prosperity with abstract ideas—like manifesting wealth through positive thinking or sending "good vibes" into the universe. But real prosperity comes from organising your finances, gaining financial literacy, and making conscious decisions that fuel your purpose.

During the Prosperity phase of my coaching, I help clients understand that financial freedom is not the end goal—it’s the fuel that powers your purpose. This isn’t about manifesting wealth through thoughts alone; it’s about making purpose-driven, practical decisions that enable you to build a sustainable life while pursuing your passions. When you're organised and financially literate, you have the clarity and confidence to make impactful choices. You know what serves you, what doesn’t, and how to direct your resources wisely.

Max’s platform, Upworth, shows that becoming your own CFO means taking ownership of your financial journey—gaining clarity and making decisions that sustain your purpose for the long haul. With the right tools—like financial literacy and planning—prosperity is not a distant goal but a natural outcome of being prepared, organised, and purpose-driven.

Remember, prosperity isn’t about chasing money—it’s about aligning your purpose with actions that build long-term financial health and freedom. The financial rewards will come as you fuel your purpose-driven journey and work toward unlocking the financial freedom you deserve.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Stay tuned for the release of my podcast with Max on Monday, where we’ll dive deeper into these topics. I wish you clarity, purpose, and prosperity on your path.
