Macildowie are pleased to be partnering with Sandvik ?– based in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, to showcase their latest recruitment campaign within their Finance team. The role will be based in Swadlincote, with some travel to Ballygawley (Northern Ireland) a couple of times a month to ensure strong relationships are built and maintained with the operational stakeholders this role will work closely with.

Recruiting for a senior manager level finance role, this will report to the Divisional Finance Director and will have company wide exposure as well as engagement with multi-stakeholders on a day to day basis. This role is instrumental in driving growth strategy. Your role will be responsible for the Finance function of a key site, but you will also have exposure to the wider Division, Business Area and Sandvik Group.

The Finance team plays an active role in leading and supporting the company in achieving its business objectives and targets by working closely with key stakeholders to drive improvements to operational and financial processes on a day to day basis. Your role will be to provide real time support and analysis; to be a trusted adviser and to add value that will assist in decision making. Critical to your success will be the ability to understand your stakeholders and deliver information in a clear and user-friendly manner.

This is a true business partner role that requires an individual with an energetic personality, comfortable sharing financial data and knowledge to coach their peers and team’s development.?You will be happy taking an active role in problem-solving throughout the business

The role:

·????????Actively interface between Finance and Operations - influence day to day decisions, shape strategy and the direction of the business

·????????Be commercially aware, understanding and anticipating the needs of both operations and management

·????????Drive the assembly unit to achieve continuous improvement through effective finance management and communication of the business’ key performance results

·????????Interpret data and assess its value; be able to present the findings to relevant stakeholders concisely

·????????Be able to form and stand over recommendations, have a well-developed sense of ethics and be prepared to stand up for these principles

·????????Must be able to challenge, coach and motivate; identify and win over key stakeholders; build relationships and guide behaviour to achieve Divisional objectives

·????????Lead a multi-site Finance team in the partnering principals and ways of working via continuous appraisal, feedback, and development

·????????Key liaison with the UK shared service – continued feedback to the teams to ensure value add to the business

·????????Ensure on-going compliance with all relevant Sandvik policies and reporting timescales and organise resources to ensure timely and accurate completion of all reporting requirements both internal and external

·????????Work alongside the Compliance function to maintain and improve internal controls to ensure safeguarding of assets and reliability of financial information

We are supporting Sandvik to recruit in this role based on technical ability, behaviour and personality traits.?

Being a Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), with experience working on multi-site operations (preferably within a Manufacturing/Engineering environment, strong business partnering skills, the ability to work to strict reporting deadlines and an advanced level of ability with Excel are all essential criteria.

·????????A track record of successful performance management and continuous improvement of your own team and a positive contribution to peer’s development

·????????Educated to degree level, with an accounting qualification, preferably CIMA.?ACCA or ACA qualifications will be considered for candidates able to show an excellent match in experience for the outlined role

·????????At least five years of post-qualified experience in relevant business partner positions that have had exposure to a wide number of operational functions (across Sales, R&D, lifecycle and supply chain)

·????????Experience working in a fast-paced environment

·????????Effective use of the ERP system

·????????Highly commercial and influential, with proven business partnering and leadership skills?
