NEW! ???? Monetize your videos on Facebook. If you have a Page or personal profile with over 2,000 followers and you can get at least 300 people to concurrently watch one of your live broadcasts, you may be eligible to insert AD BREAKS into your Live videos. Facebook will share 55% of the ad revenues with you.
?? The Ad Breaks feature is currently limited to Pages and profiles in the U.S. only. Sorry my Canadian friends but we are next in line for the role out. This article will allow you to be ready.
?? Qualifying Pages or profiles need to have 2,000 or more followers and have reached 300 or more concurrent viewers in a recent live video.
?? You'll know if you're eligible next time you go to do a Live broadcast on mobile, look for the blue bubble that says "New! Earn money with ads" then follow the onscreen instructions.
?? You'll need to fill out your tax ID, contact info, PayPal or bank details (to receive your rev-share from Facebook).
?? You can take ad breaks during any live video reaching 300 or more concurrent viewers by tapping on the $ icon in the Live composer window.
?? You can take your first ad break after having been live for at least 4 minutes. You can take additional ad breaks after a minimum of 5 minutes between each break. Each ad break lasts up to 20 seconds.
?? In addition, Facebook is testing the Ad Breaks feature for some publishers to be able to insert short ad breaks into videos they upload, or into existing videos in their Facebook libraries.

Facebook is definitely pushing into the TV space!!! ?? Facebook’s VP of partnerships Nick Grudin told TechCrunch, “Whether on Facebook or off, we’re committed to continuing to work with our partners to develop new monetization products and ad formats for digital video. It’s early days, but today’s updates are a step towards this goal.”
