Finally a replacement Linen!
I think those that know me understand that I just do not like dishwashers. Years ago, I discovered I could wash my dishes as quickly as I could get them ready to go into a dishwasher.
The only problem I had with hand washing is it took a lot of elbow grease to get all the streaks off glasses. Then I discovered Irish Linen. They were the most wonderful drying towels I had ever used for dishes after I washed them. Unfortunately, my last one of the ten pack I bought back in 1980 was just about ready to retire. (See Below)
When some friends were headed to Ireland this summer, they asked if they could bring me anything. I showed them my prized drying towel, they took a picture with their phones and told me they would look around.
I didn't really expect anything. I thought that after 40 years the company was out of business, but maybe they could find a suitable replacement.
Much to my surprise, they brought me back ten new drying towels identical to the one I had. Apparently the company that produced them was still in business, just their stuff was not being imported anymore. (See New one Below)
