Finally, the dHealth Excellence Center: connecting the digital innovators to the payors and provider decision makers

How could we not have thought of this before? connecting the dots and drawing the lines between innovative tech and life science offerings and the receiving healthcare institutions, has always been a daunting challenge. But now, thanks to the initiative of industry veterans Etti Eliassi and Doron Ytshaki, we now have an Digital Health Excellence Center at the Israeli Chamber of IT Technology The chamber is intended to help in providing the missing link, facilitating the journey and accelerating innovation processes and the adoption of exciting new value propositions into the medical care systems.

The rich and well-ballanced steering committee is indicative of the targets of the center - including leaders of IT at major medical centers, all local HMO's, education institutions, the technology and the venture capital community, which I have the honor to represent.

The kick-off event today was a great start, with several interesting presentations. The presentation of Izhar Laufer of Leumit Health Services (and member of the steering committee), providing valuable advice to startup companies as they approach an HMO, was particularly indicative of the role our or new center. Also we were pleased to have hosted Sara Levi, CTO of Sight Diagnostics - our exciting portfolio company.
