Finally, content creation is under way!!!
My planned comic book fan series is now underway with episodes being written up even as I type this. It has been a real challenge, between the holidays, the weather and other factors. Things got delayed earlier in the decade due to the Covid outbreak, as well as my employment situation.
Though the fan series itself has no working title at the moment, it is designed to be a continuation of my 2018 fan film, The Conquest of Batman, focusing in on a redhaired crime-fighting partner, patterned after actress Jill St. John. Ms. St. John, incidentally, played the role of Molly the Mole in the premiere episode of the 1966 Batman series.
She also was the inspiration for the character of Molly Post, an Olympian skier who appears in the August and September 1972 issues of the Batman comic. And this is the character we hope will be the lead character.
I started my video work in 2007 when I began my first project in Strathroy, Ontario, Canada. Batman 1969 took a little over three years to film, and an additional seven months to edit. Though flawed, it was a real learning lesson, and the project was indeed completed.
During this time, I also produced video blogs that so often showed comic cons, and discussed comic book topics. One thing that a video maker learns of quickly is the matter of copyrights. Instead of being a hindrance, it can so often be an opportunity to express things in your own manner that can be so often interesting.
Much has changed since my interest in the comics began 22 years ago in Rochester, New York. But there is always a need for a good story, and that is what we intend to provide!
