A Final Word from Me on CEO Sleepout MK

It's taken me all day to write this today because I'm literally feeling very spangled from only getting 1 hour 42 minutes sleep last night (thanks fitbit).

So last night I took part in #CEOSleepoutMiltonKeynes and I feel compelled to do one last post about the event now that it's all over. I’m sure everyone in MK business world is getting sick of seeing all of our posts by now. The event has certainly dominated my social media feeds this week.

It was a truly inspiring evening. Half filled with the buzz, excitement and camaraderie of the evening. The high of doing such a great deed and helping those less fortunate than ourselves. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the vibe and have a bit of fun and the energy was palpable.

Followed swiftly by the low of sleeping in the elements on a concrete floor in freezing temperatures (literally), strange noises, surrounded by relative strangers, so very very uncomfortable and longing for your bed and your duvet. Which really gets you thinking about how awful it must be to not have a bed to go to!

As of this morning we had raised £68k for our charity partners MK YMCA, MK Dons SET and CEO Sleepout UK. Which is nothing short of amazing and which will absolutely make a huge difference towards fighting the fight against homelessness and poverty. This figure will increase over the coming few days as people will still be generously giving. (Click this link if you anyone wants to donate and hasn’t had the chance yet. We really did earn it! https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ceosleepout-conceptp)

All in all, an amazing experience and I would encourage anyone to experience it by taking part in a CEO Sleepout UK event and raising funds and awareness for homeless and poverty charities UK-wide. #ceosleepoutmiltonkeynes
