Building Lasting Relationships at Dell Technologies | Small Business Marketer
My Corps of Cadet experience came to an end this past weekend. I have spent over 35,000 hours with the people in the image above. These are the greatest friends I have made in college. Our experience in the corps has developed us into who we are today, and it has truly been a special moment for all of us. From earning our corps brass in a cold and wet afternoon to marching for the last time this weekend, the last 4 years have been filled with nothing short of life long memories we will carry forever. Everyone always says to enjoy college because it goes by fast, but I didn't realize the reality of that statement until this weekend.
While I am excited for my next chapter in life, I am most excited to spend next semester outside of the corps being challenged in different ways. The Corps of Cadets helps you grow in many different ways, but paying electric bills or cooking, is not one of them. I am excited to see where all of my class of '22 buddies go and do in life. Hopefully we can one day be as great of a class as the class of '72, who celebrated their 50th reunion two weeks ago. They have had a governor, congressman, state comptroller, mayors, civic leaders, three military general officers, Chancellor of?the A&M System, VP of TAMU Student Affairs and four Distinguished Alumni,?John Sharp,?Jerry Cox,?Rick Perry?and?Tony?Best. I hope our class out can accomplish great things like this and truly help those across the globe.
I also attended Senior Dining Out and A-Company Banquet. I haven't mentioned once about the people who helped make my Aggie experience fun and amazing throughout all 4 years. I want to first thank my mom, dad, grandmother, grandfather, aunt, and girlfriend who helped me get through these 4 years financially to experience all the fun. I want to thank my parents, along with all of the other A-Co parent's, who organized so many amazing buddy dinners so that our buddies could bond, hang out, and relax away from the Quad. The A-Co parent's played a crucial part in keeping the A-Co spirit alive. Thank you so much! I also want to thank my girlfriend for keeping my spirits up, motivating me, and also feeding me when I am not eating on-campus. I can't wait where God takes this relationship next.

In my time here, I have served around 5,000+ cadets in their careers. I have built 4 websites, one of which is a tool for cadets to receive career help at any time. I have given at least 40 different presentations about resumes, LinkedIn, interview skills, financial literacy, networking, career fairs, and other important topics. I have personally affected roughly 500+ students in helping them land a job or internship they wanted. I have grown my LinkedIn Network to over 2,000 connections during my time in the corps, consisting of fellow Aggies and successful business owners.
The legacy I hope I leave for the class of '23 and beyond is to always work hard at what you do. Don't let anything derail your passion for this organization and the role you play in it. I am happy to say that I finished strong and was proud of my work. There was a lot of new things we accomplished this year, but most importantly how to set next years leaders up for success. I have been able to work with the brightest minds, Colonel Allison, Dr. Keller, Dr. Brown, and Dr. Paine to improve my leadership and program management skills. I wouldn't be half the leader I am today if it wasn't for them.
I can't say thank you enough. I appreciate everyone who has been a part of my corps experience. "Once an Aggie, Always an Aggie." I plan on giving back to the corps because I truly believe in the outcome of the product.

2 年Saturday was our first Final review for our son and I must say it was an amazing experience watching the Zips become dead zips all the way down to the fish becoming PHs(politically correct for Linkedin)! It was hilarious watching the dead zips critique and "encourage" the underclassmen. Good luck with everything your future holds and Gig Em!
