The recent Final Pitch Day of the GLOCAL Game Changers, marked the conclusion of a journey that goes far beyond just presenting startups.

This event was the culmination of months of collaboration in an open innovation system that involved not only startups, but also producers, distributors, traders, corporates, early adopters, venture capital funds, and institutions.

10 Latin American startups from diverse sectors presented their solutions in front of a jury featuring representatives from our main partners, Boortmalt and Surcos , including Clara De Hertelendy (Surcos), Martin Burlo (Surcos), and Agustin Tamborini (Boortmalt)

More than just pitches

The Final Pitch Day it's not just a competition, but the cherry on top of a broader journey that aligns with our vision: fostering an innovation ecosystem that connects key players across the entire value chain.

This systemic approach helps the region tackle long-standing challenges with fresh perspectives and advanced technologies.

Meet the 2024 winners

Out of over 500 applicants, two companies stood out at the Final Pitch Day for their innovative and high-impact approaches:

  • Calice – An Argentinian Agtech startup wich system is capable of analyzing and integrating millions of data points that characterize a crop, reducing time and money and increasing success rates for new crop varieties.
  • Blooms – A Mexican Agfintech offering an all-in-one financial platform that streamlines cross-border export and global payments within the produce industry.

These two companies were chosen not only for their technological advancements but also for their potential to drive systemic change across the Agrifoodtech landscape in Latin America.
