A Final Goodbye...

In 1998, I founded Axelle Entertainment, a company that has since grown into one of the world’s leading music production firms, proudly serving over 8,000 global clients annually. For the past 27 years, I have led this company with heartfelt passion, motivation, and the highest level of commitment, alongside some of the most talented professionals in the industry. To say I am grateful and humbled would be an understatement—I am both of those things and so much more.

However, as all journeys eventually find their conclusion, my time in music production has come to an end. On February 28, 2025, I will officially retire—not only from the industry but from making music altogether. This decision does not stem from any challenges or setbacks but simply from the realization that, after nearly three decades, I am ready to step away. Music will always be a part of who I am, but it is time to close this chapter and embrace the next.

But this message is not just about my retirement—it is also a letter of gratitude. My success was never mine alone, and it is only right to acknowledge the incredible individuals who helped shape my journey.

Acknowledgments & Appreciation

First and foremost, I extend my deepest thanks to Robert A. Daly, the former CEO of Warner Bros. He was the first person who gave me a shot in this industry, and while he led with an iron fist, his guidance left an unforgettable mark on my career. His lessons were invaluable, and I will always be grateful for the opportunities he provided. In fact, if I look hard enough, I'm sure I can still see an outline of his foot on my ass.

I am also profoundly grateful to the remarkable producers and composers who shaped my understanding of music beyond film scoring:

1. Babyface – No one has influenced my music career more than him. His visionary approach to production, unparalleled creativity, and willingness to embrace new ideas have been an endless source of inspiration. He truly is a remarkable man, both in public and behind the scenes.
2. Walter Afanasieff – The genius behind My Heart Will Go On, Walter taught me how to evoke emotion through music and seamlessly blend film scoring into modern compositions. His guidance was a game-changer for me.
3. Mutt Lange – A legend in every sense, Mutt introduced me to country music, a genre I had never imagined myself working in. Thanks to him, I not only learned to produce it but also gained a deep appreciation for its complexity and storytelling.
4. Yanni (Yiannis Chryssomallis) – Though we have never met, his music was my first true inspiration. Yanni redefined classical music and brought it into the modern era, and without him, I would have never embarked on this incredible journey in the first place.

There are countless other colleagues, friends, and industry professionals who have played a role in my success—you know who you are, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The Future of Axelle Entertainment

As I step away, I am proud to announce that a brilliant and exceptionally talented woman of color will be taking over my role. While she prefers to remain anonymous, I can say with absolute confidence that she will lead Axelle Entertainment to even greater heights. Not only is she a gifted composer, but she has also demonstrated time and again that she is, without question, better than me. The company is in the best possible hands.

What’s Next?

Retirement, for me, is an empty book. For now, my biggest focus will be on writing—a passion I have nurtured for years. I look forward to documenting my experiences, the places I visit, the people I meet, and the stories that unfold along the way. While my career in music comes to an end, my journey as a storyteller is only just beginning.

If there is one thing I want to leave behind, it is this: Never give up on yourself or your dreams. This industry is not easy, and the road to success is filled with obstacles—but if you are passionate, determined, and willing to push through the challenges, anything is possible. The world needs your music, your voice, your creativity—so keep going, keep learning, and never let doubt stop you.
