As the end of the year approaches, Jitendra Sinha, Co-founder & CEO of SAI, reflects on his journey towards a million dreams. He recognizes the importance of institutionalizing his knowledge and skills so that his innovative agro-forestry model can continue to help farmers live with dignity and contribute to the society. With only a few months left until his self-imposed retirement, Jitendra remains committed to establishing a system that ensures his learning will continue, whether he stays or not.
As some of you might know that I have been telling that 2023 is my year of retirement, and I will retire from my active life by the end of this year.

I responded and explained the dangers of my agro-forestry model if I leave it here. I am mortal, and the knowledge and skills are still with me. If I am not able to establish a system and institutionalize my knowledge and skills, there is every possibility that it will die like any other beautiful innovation.
It’s been 6 months since we had this conversation. My battle is in the final stage, and we will know the outcome in 3 months more. However, I am very much progressing as per my plan. If successful, then probably millions of farmers’ families will come out of poverty without depending on external support. No more grant, charity or government subsidies will be needed.
