Hello everyone,
I am happy to bring my 1st blog for 2024 today, and it's all about how to make our task EASY... Flieters make our task easy and quick, right?
But.. but...
Do we know everything about it?
I am sure most of us do, but I am also sure most do not know the last part of this blog...
So let's talk about it.
What is Data Filtering?
Data filtering is choosing a minor part of your data set and using that subset for viewing or analysis. Filtering is generally temporary – the complete data set is kept, but only part of it is used for the calculation.
Filtering requires you to specify a rule or logic to identify the cases you want to include in your analysis. Filtering can also be referred to as "subsetting" data or a data "drill-down".
Types of Filter in Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain:
After it has been opened, the Filter Pane remains visible until the user goes to a new page or until the user closes the Filter Pane using the Hide Filters button.
Developers can ensure that a particular field appears in the Filter Pane by adding an empty filter to the query. Developers can also affect whether users can modify/add filters on specific fields by changing the status of the filters.

Some columns in a grid may not be filterable. In these cases, the column header will not be clickable.
Note - Columns whose values are computed via code are not filterable or sortable using grid column headers, the Filter pane, Quick Filter, or Advanced filter or sort.
This was the section of the post that I was referring to at the start that most of us do not know what it means to have '!<Value>!' or the relevance of "!<value>."
This is it for this post.
Did you know all of these short syntaxs? Can this be helpful for filtering?
For me, it was definitely helpful and functional.
Happy Learning...!!!
