Filter coffee or espresso

During my years of college in the US I came to discover, and why not say it, appreciate, filter coffee. I know this sounds like coffee heresy, but I was young and didn't have the experience or sophistication to really appreciate good coffee. The truth is that the tried and tested filter coffee method provided me with the high volumes and ubiquitous availability that I needed at the time.?

To summarize, it was simple, accessible, and got the job done, which was keeping me awake during those long morning lectures and study nights. Yet these filter coffee machines lacked the functionality and flexibility to adjust the different parameters of the coffee brew that ultimately lead to a more customized extraction. With an espresso machine you can precisely control parameters like the grind, weight, temperature, and time to obtain an extraction that is adapted to your tastes, leading to a superior coffee experience.??

?

I am therefore excited to report that at Inverbis, in our new release that will be available at the end of this week, we have switched from our simple and reliable filter coffee brewer to a new and more flexible espresso machine that we hope will provide you with a better user experience.?

?

Some of the new features you will find include:

  • The possibility of filtering any aggregation of variants, whether it be a consecutive set, or any number of separate and diverse paths that you might want to analyze in an aggregate way. You can also save these filters as a filter set for future use

  • We added the option to give a name to individual variants, so that it is easier to identify and remember them

  • In our loop inspector ( rework tab) you can now filter a given loop and identify the different variants that contain it so you can analyze them individually. In the variants tab, if a variant contains a loop it will also be listed and identified in relation to the loops that appear in the rework tab

  • You can also now filter an interval of dates directly from the “Analysis context” pane without having to go to the date and time filters in the filters page

  • Another enhancement to the filtering functionality is that you can select multiple items when applying an arc filter

  • We have also added a section to the “Model metrics” panel in the main views that provides an estimation of the cost of the variant (or aggregation of variants) that are displayed. This cost is just a reference and is based on the standard cost that you can input in the “Settings” tab, and the average duration of the variant or variants

  • We have also made subtle changes to the positioning of some of the configuration buttons that were originally under the “Available variants” pane, and that are now located as icons on the top right of the main display panel. These buttons include the toggle between the type of metric display for durations, the “Center graph” button, and the toggle to change the graph display direction

?

As you can see, like with a modern espresso machine, these are all changes designed to provide you with more flexibility and the ability to further customize your “insights extraction”, while at the same time staying true to our philosophy of simplicity and ease of use. We hope this helps you make better ristrettos, cappuccinos, and lattes, or even (God forbid) pumpkin spice lattes, if that is your preference.

?

And if you love coffee like I do, stay tuned, because we will be releasing shortly our version of an automatic espresso machine that will provide you with your favorite coffee extractions at the touch of a button. Automated insights and AI powered queries for an even simpler and more powerful analisis experience.?

Coffee lovers of the world, bon appetit!
