Filming at a Local School
It's been great the past few days as I've had the chance to work for a local school on a promotional film.
I had the chance to speak to a variety of people and hear what makes their school special - and as a parent (with a child not quite ready for school yet!) it's great to hear what teachers do in order to help children. Some of the techniques and methods of teaching are very different to my school (starting to sound old here, I know) but I can see that they are very effective!
I had chance to light some nice interviews, and although we only had one room to interview in, I had fun trying to find interesting backgrounds. For the first time I probably used every lens I have which was nice - even my 10mm came in handy.
I'm moving into post production in a few days time and look forward to sharing the full video once it's completed.
If there's one thing I've learned so far, however, it's that trying to film a full classroom of children in about 10 minutes whilst a group constantly inspects my camera is a bit of a challenge!
