FilAm Arts $20,000 Grant Award from the National Endowment for the Arts

[Los Angeles]—FilAm Arts is pleased to announce it has been approved by the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) for a Grants for Arts Projects award of $20,000.
This grant will support The 31st Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture [FPAC]. The NEA will award 1,127 Grants for Arts Projects awards nationwide totaling more than $31.8 million as part of the recent announcement of fiscal year 2025 grants.
“The NEA is proud to continue our nearly 60 years of supporting the efforts of organizations and artists that help to shape our country’s vibrant arts sector and communities of all types across our nation,” said NEA Chair Maria Rosario Jackson, PhD. “It is inspiring to see the wide range of creative projects taking place, including FilAm Arts 31st Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture.”
Giselle "G" T?ngi -Walters, Executive Director of FilAm Arts since 2020 shares how this is the first time under the new generation of leadership they have been awarded a prestigious NEA grant to continue the legacy of FPAC for the Southern California community. This grant will be instrumental in ensuring the continuation of the Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture on it's 31st year, which is a vital platform for preserving and promoting Filipino-American culture for future generations." says Tongi-Walters.
