Fighting the fear of "Unknown" A tale of success.

Fighting the fear of "Unknown" A tale of success.

There are times in life when you don't know the full path, yet you feel deep inside that the possibilities are endless.

When I started my journey towards entrepreneurship, to create something based on skill sets I knew I possessed but lacked clarity on how it would unfold, I faced uncertainty.

Coming from a middle-class background, taking a leap into a field where not everyone understands how you can build a career out of speaking and coaching can lead to self-doubt. So, what really helped me keep moving forward are some key aspects:

1. Embrace Not Knowing Everything

Many people emphasize the need for a solid plan, but I believe that not knowing everything is a benefit. It allows leaders to be more creative, and intuitive, and to trust themselves while discovering new strengths. What I did was set clear visions for what I wanted to achieve and took incremental steps towards those goals. There were moments of failure and times when things worked in my favor.?

2. There's No Failure, Only Feedback

The most captivating and challenging part of this journey is experiencing it fully, despite facing rains, thunderstorms, and health issues. We persisted because we had children with us, and we couldn't stop in the middle of the jungle. The essence of the journey lies in learning from each experience, taking a deep breath, and saying, "No problem, let's face this challenge." It's easier said than done, but it's during these challenging moments that we truly grow. You grow more through failures than successes.

3. Cultivate Compassion

I've learned the importance of being compassionate with oneself the hard way. Have you ever experienced a childhood where you've faced tough times, making you become tough on yourself? While being tough on oneself can be useful at times, it can also become an obstacle to growth when it becomes a pattern. Being compassionate with yourself, being kind, and smiling through difficulties is difficult but possible. Things won't always go as planned, and there's nothing called "the best." Just smile and let go of everything. Focusing on your work becomes easier when you do.

4. Trust Your Gut and Dare to Be Different

Your gut often knows the plan better than you do. Trust it. Yes, do the calculations, be objective, and plan carefully, but what matters most is whether your gut says "yes." If you're doing something that no one has done before, and you believe it will work, just go for it. It will be different and unique. Have the courage to take a leap of faith, knowing that you want to reach your destination, even if you don't have all the answers.

In the journey of entrepreneurship, not having all the answers can lead to creativity, growth, and unique opportunities. Remember, there's beauty in embracing the unknown and trusting the path you've chosen. So, smile, learn from every experience, and keep moving forward.
