Basing her family, life, and international career from Colorado, Dr. Jalbert is a committed global gender equity advocate, economic development activist, and a women’s rights political strategist. Currently, she is Chief of Party for a United States Agency of International Development (USAID)-Iraq project titled: Durable Communities and Economic Opportunities, implemented by Chemonics International.?In Iraq, the project is known as DCEO/Tahfeez.?Tahfeez means motivation.
The short version here is that gender gaps translate directly to lost creativity, lost job creation, and lost revenue for a nation, community, and family.
My ‘call to action’ is two questions:
What will you do today to strengthen the visibility and acceptance of women entrepreneurs and women in business in your communities?
What will you do today to strengthen the visibility and acceptance of women entrepreneurs and women in business in your communities?
It’s an individual call to action.?It starts with you and your family then expands to our communities.?That’s the only way we can change the world we inhabit.?It’s not about ‘me’.?It’s about ‘we.’

1 年...Hello Madam, I am an Afghan lady. Before we begin, I wish you a happy New Year. May this New Year be a year when all Afghan women are freed from the oppression of the Taliban. Dear Madam, for one year. I worked in an American government program for Afghan women, and through it I included the SIV process, all my documents were completed, and I am waiting for my application. I am waiting for my application. They spend their lives with difficulties and hardships, they are taken from their homes at night, they are tortured, more of them die under severe torture, except for the other days, every torture the Taliban inflicts on Afghan women. I would like you to please give me some help in terms of whether they will give me an acceptance or my application, not only me, but all Afghan women, because of women, we are in a difficult situation. If it is possible, I have a two-year-old son, I don't want him to be motherless. Afghanistan will be destroyed, please, I ask for your cooperation, dear lady, with all due respect Yajeh Shirzad.
