Fighting Cancer with the Beatson Pebble Appeal
In May this year, my wife Debbie was diagnosed with breast cancer. Debbie has had a successful operation with a clear biopsy and excellent prognosis but is currently undergoing 7 months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. During this period she has continued to give her time to volunteer at our local Children's Hospice when she has felt well enough and has kept sharing her beautiful smile.
My daughter Lorna and I, along with 11 friends and Cal as our support driver, are riding the 5 Ferries Challenge to raise money for the Beatson Pebble Appeal which funds world class cancer research at the University of Glasgow. Ironically, Debbie had been fund raising for them for many years before she was diagnosed herself.
