Self-exploration, also known as self-realization at the right time, is the best thing to happen to oneself. Self-realization is the continuous process whereby an individual's self-concept is enhanced every time they experience some change.
If you are doing something that is not making your inner self happy and not giving you peace, you need to realize, understand, and change.
Talking about myself, the past few months were dreadful! I was losing my mind, literally to nothing. The aggression, the rage, the emptiness, and whatnot! Negativity soon conquered my mind, but then I started to REALIZE.
REALIZE:
Realizing is always the first step you take towards positivity. I learned the damage was only affecting me. It's not everyone's fault; it's mine.
I realized that the anger that was making its home inside me could break me in no time because being angry every time doesn't make us strong. Instead, it makes us so weak that crying and screaming seem like the only solutions to you.
? Anger:
I used to feel exasperated about every tiny matter which could be resolved easily, still I used to hurt my loved ones with my words and my actions.
Rachel says, “Words spoken in anger leave wounds that never heal.”
But then I realized no one was as angry as the person who is wrong, and I was wrong!
Realizing that your ego is your biggest enemy. The "I" factor in you can ruin your mental peace, relationships, and respect.
? Ego:
I used to put myself in the first place. I am always right! Why are they not doing what I am saying? Why should I talk first? Why should I apologize first? He is wrong; he should do it. Why should I compromise? Why should I share my things? It was always about me and myself without realizing I was hurting someone's self-esteem. But then I realize, "In the war of ego, a loser always wins."
?
Ignoring things, and staying quiet only makes you provocative. Believe me, ignorance is really toxic.
? Ignorance:

I never tried to talk and resolve issues. Instead, I used to stay quiet to ignore things and treasure all the negativity in my mind and in my heart (whose function is to pump blood only :D ), and then everything comes out like BOOOM !! It's a volcano.
UNDERSTAND:
After realizing the bad in your man-made good, the next step your brain should take is to understand. For instance, what are you losing if you realize your mistakes but do not understand how they will affect you? What next should you do to prevent all the negativity? Then what is the point of realizing this? After a few days, it will be the same again.
One day, I sat down alone for some "ME" time. To understand where this inner disturbance will lead me to? Why am I destroying my mental health? Why am I torturing my loved ones? The answer I got from myself was, "Don't run away from your mistakes!" Fix them! Learn from them and understand what you need to do to overcome them. Mistakes are always forgiven until you are ready to admit them and change.
If anyone of you realizes your mistakes, just own them and try your hardest to rectify them instead of always being rigid.
After all, John Powell said, "The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing."
CHANGE:
Now the last but the most difficult step is for you to change because it's not just a piece of cake that you got, ate, and digested. NO! It's difficult to accept the fact that what you have been doing for so long was all wrong, and now you have to change it, but if you make up your mind, nothing is impossible.
? Just try to stay calm. Take deep breaths, if you're feeling that rage, try to do what you love more (I love to pen down my feelings, and that's what I am doing)
? Speak your heart out, if you want to cry. Do cry, don't keep anything inside you.
? Spend more time with your loved ones.
?Minimize that "I" factor. Think about others and keep yourself in their shoes, and you will get an idea of what you have to change.
I am still fighting with the monster inside me by changing these minor character traits, which can make my life horrible. I am moving forward in a peaceful way. relaxed than ever. I hope you also get through it.
I hope this article helped you think about where you stand!
