Fight for M & M

This isn’t just any fight. It’s a battle that challenges the essence and satisfaction of your time on earth. Unfortunately, it is a battle that we far too often forget that we are in.
No, I’m not talking about fighting for the popular candy brand.
I’m talking about something that should be more important and valued by every person on this earth.
Only it’s not always the case.
In part, because it’s not something that we’re taught in schools or at home. You rarely find glimpses of it on Netflix. Nope, it’s not on Instagram or Tik Tok either.
The normalcy of a hurried, overwhelmed and busy life prevents us from finding it. Even worse, most will never even search for it.
Yet we seemingly remember it only when we are reminded about our own mortality.Usually when someone we love passes away.
Here one minute. Gone the next.
Poof.
Like Kobe Bryant, his daughter and seven other folks who perished in a tragic helicopter crash.
Most people don’t know Kobe Bryant personally, but they knew of him. His accomplishments (and failures) on and off the court attracted the spotlight of today’s media circus.
His death is a tragedy that reminds us again of the fragility of our life.
Unfortunately, this reminder is usually short-lived. Only a blip in our minds until the daily demands and familiar patterns of normal life take over again.
Now is the moment to capitalize on the blip. It’s important to transform it into a permanent reminder of the fragile and mortal reality of life.
When you do, it serves as a constant reminder of the most important battle in your life.
To fight for what is Meaningful to you.
And to fight for what Matters most to you.
Fight for M & M.
Because when the time comes for you to take your last breath, having done what was most meaningful is likely all that will matter.
And if you don’t fight for M & M today, it may be too late tomorrow.
RIP Black Mamba. May God use your tragic death to bring light and instill the fight in others.
