I believe that everyone should have the capacity and ability to fight, do not get me wrong, I am no way advocating for violence. I am, however, speaking on the need for well placed aggression and its necessity in everyday life. I was brought up to have a kind outlook, a generous heart and a relatively calm disposition. While this has served me in many occasions, it has also disillusioned me to what real life is and how people actually interact. There are times where one has to draw a line and be respected for it, there are also times when one should be able to pull back and avoid lashing out. Understanding the difference is what we call emotional intelligence. As a young boy, I remember being pitted against others in my neighborhood by our elder brothers. While I scoff at the idea of such now, I see the blurry reasoning. As you grow older, responsibilities dictate that you should be able to stand up for the right causes, but one has to be careful not to carry volatility to every situation.., but keeping a balance is necessary, the world does not exist in black and white, but in the grey areas. That's where one has to learn to control their temperate whether hot or cold in order to deliver a clear and concise message..., anything else is not wisdom but folly.
