Fight Alzheimers, Give Here, Run Fast
David Noble
Founding & Managing Director, The Peter J. Werth Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation
As many of you know, I'm running the 2017 New York City Marathon. 26.2 miles, because I can. I was lucky enough to be given a spot in the marathon by the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation. This foundation is helping to fund research through the entrepreneurial "valley of death" where it is beyond the academic grant process, but not quite ready for significant investment by big-pharma.
Drugs cost hundreds of millions, if not billions, of dollars to get to the market. These drugs are life saving, world changing innovations that help families treat their loved ones. Imagine a world where Alzheimer's wasn't a death sentence. Imagine a world where people's memories weren't stolen, and their dignity discarded through this horrible disease. I'll remember that as I run. What can you do? You can give. Support my efforts to fight this disease, and donate today.
