Fifty years after the publication of the book, The French Enlightenment and the Jews, is there still the belief that Voltaire was an anti-Semite?

As Voltaire is still studied in most academic circles, should his statements, postulations, and speculations about Jews have any impact whatsoever on our present read of his seminal text Candide? Please consider the following two articles when you think about my question.
