The bid is based primarily on a desire for growth; growth of people, football and connections around the world. Hosting the FIFA World Cup? is an important step in the growth journey of the sport sector in the Kingdom, which has witnessed great developments and success in recent years. This has contributed to consolidating its position as an international destination for the most prominent sport events. Hosting the FIFA World Cup? will culminate the Kingdom’s efforts in the sector.

The Kingdom has become one of the world’s most promising and attractive tourism destinations. It topped the UN’s global list of growth in the number of international tourists in 2023. The Kingdom’s capital, Riyadh, was chosen by the international community to host the World Expo 2030. The number of tourists reached over 100 million from home and abroad in 2023. We look forward to welcoming more tourists from all over the world; thanks to the giga-projects and significant investments by Public Investment Fund (PIF) companies. The projects aim to develop the tourism and entertainment sectors in a number of diverse destinations that our country enjoys, including NEOM, Qiddiya, the Red Sea, and Diriyah.

This year represents the midpoint towards achieving the targets and ambitions of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. In the Kingdom, we recognize the importance of the sport sector in achieving further growth and development. We look forward to hosting an exceptional and unprecedented edition of the FIFA World Cup? by harnessing our strengths and capabilities to bring joy to football fans around the world. The bid carries the slogan ‘Growing. Together.’, which embodies the Kingdom’s exponential growth and progress in the world of football. The bid presents a valuable opportunity to work with FIFA to develop the future of football in the Kingdom, the Middle East and the world.

The tournament will provide further opportunities for volunteers throughout the hosting of the FIFA World Cup 2034?, strengthening social bonds, upskilling would-be volunteers, and giving experience to the younger generation.

Vision 2030 promotes sustainability and inclusive development across all aspects of society and Saudi Arabia has committed to a greener future and net-zero by 2060 utilizing the four Rs of the circular carbon economy: reduce, reuse, recycle, and remove. Through the national Saudi Green Initiative, and the Kingdom’s regional leadership of the Middle East Green Initiative, Saudi Arabia unites others in collective action and shared objectives.
