Fierce competition. Time to be bold.

Fierce competition. Time to be bold.

Fierce competition. Time to be bold.?

We hear about competition constantly and see the competitive spirit more in athletes, sports, artists, politicians, and high profile. The reality is that to get to this high level, only a few can handle the pressure that comes with it.

But competition is in everything; we do not have to be high profile to be affected by it. It’s in the job market, business, dating, and almost everything we pursue. So, embracing a competitive mindset and spirit is necessary to survive, stay relevant, and get what we desire.?

These days, we are dealing with a massive saturation across all of the spectrums, industries and with social media, our competition continues to be unlimited at a fast pace, and people are feeling it; even the most qualified professionals are struggling to get the right job, or most gorgeous women to find their suitable partner. So, how do we stand out?

We start by looking inward at our potential and the greatness we can achieve by being the best of ourselves, taking some clear action steps to take charge of our lives, and starting to make changes, especially avoiding comparing ourselves to others and letting them make us feel inferior.?

Below are some recommendations:

Find what is your potential, style and be inspired by others.?

Often, we need to find our potential by exploring what others are doing, and by looking at others, we can use that inspiration as an example, motivation, and to plant the seed of ambition within us, so dare to look at what others are doing but use this information to find your style, your niche, and what makes you unique, and adopt the best qualities of others and good habits to create changes in your life. If you try to do what others are doing because it works for them, you may never find your greatness.

Bring up your fire.

You have it; fire and passion are the reasons we can make an instant impact or be unforgettable to others. Without fire, we can easily get lost in the competition. When we dare to bring up our unapologetic fire, we are courageous to show others that we are proud of who we are and not afraid to show ourselves and what we believe. If you are a passionate person, show it, people will remember you, and you will ignite emotions in them. It will always open doors for you.

Be willing to make mistakes.

To stand out, you have to be comfortable with being uncomfortable and making mistakes; most people are afraid to make mistakes that prevent them from taking chances, keeping them from trying new things, or asking for opportunities. Still, when we are willing to make mistakes, we are honest with ourselves and ready to discover another side of us because often, through mistakes, we are more experienced and wiser, and we get validation of our strategic action steps.

Your emotions are your test of endurance.

This is why people quit on their dreams, goals, or even basic desires. They are their own worst enemy. When things get tough, doubt makes us question ourselves and wonder if we will ever achieve what we want. If you can track these emotions and stop them on the tracks, they will only delay you momentarily, but they will not stop you. Remember that your negative emotions are your test of endurance and that you can choose whether your negative thoughts are telling you the truth. You make that decision.

Don’t let your painful experiences hold you back.?

We all have painful disappointments and bad experiences with people, and many of us are still holding onto those experiences and are constant reminders of what could go wrong, which often discourages us. We can’t erase our past, but we can decide not to let them block us. Many of these experiences will help us make better decisions, set boundaries, and be more vocal about our standards. While we won’t create justice from the bad people who have done us wrong, we will create justice by preventing the hard lessons from repeating. People are not worth the sacrifice of our dreams, especially not the wrong people who have hurt us.

Develop ambitious work ethics.

We probably struggle with our competition because we are not putting in the extra work, hours, and effort. We want to create changes, but we are making the same efforts as before and dealing with more competition. If you need to progress faster, look at how much effort and work you put towards your goals. Are you making the right sacrifices? Could you be doing more or be more assertive with your actions? You may find the answer to your challenges when you answer these questions.

Be daring and push your boundaries.

Sometimes, our goals are too soft and not ambitious enough, but how would your life be if you dared to push yourself to a place you have never reached? You may not reach it, at least not right away, but it will certainly get you to change or get out of your current situation. If you think about it, many great influencers dared to push their limits and pursue big goals. Use that inspiration and see how far you would like to go. Aim for that place; it will undoubtedly change your character and expand your options, making you stand out from your competitors.

Life is short.

It's a cliché line, but it's true. When we are down or discouraged, time passes us by slowly, and we postpone taking action, but when we are inspired and motivated, we don't have enough time, and often we regret not being wiser about our time or acting sooner. Embrace this day and avoid procrastination; changes won't happen if we don't embrace the gift of having time. When we feel this limitation, we regret not acting sooner and letting others prevent us from getting what we want. If you want something, go for it now.

Determination Pays Off.

Determination is critical and aligned with a strong work ethic, but being determined helps us stay on the course despite disappointments, setbacks, obstacles, and everything and anything that wants us to quit. Nothing in life is easy these days; almost every process comes with complications that can discourage us, but when we are determined, we will find a way to continue until we get what we want. Pivot as needed because there will be mistakes and issues that we will have to correct during the course, but with determination, you’ll get there. It is just a matter of time. This is the difference between a winner and a loser and the power of their minds.

Look at your life. A little bit of vain is needed.

When competing, we can easily be impressed by others, and often, they can intimidate us. Still, many struggle to be proud of who they are and downplay their accomplishments, assets, and what makes them unique. But how will we be desirable to others when we look less than our greatness? How are we showing our value, our worthiness? In a competitive world, we must be proud of and excited about who we are and what we offer. When we radiate, we will attract others, and our opportunities will open up.

It is not easy to create changes, personally and professionally, but this is why we are alive. We are here to experience, live, improve ourselves, and be happy. Pursuing change is worth it, but it comes with a price that only a few are willing to pay; however, those who benefit from great rewards result in fulfillment and personal satisfaction. We can change our entire life, from our location, financial stability, relationships, everything, if we embrace the competitive spirit, put aside our negative thoughts and our saboteurs, and never give up. Ultimately, we can look back at our lives happy and proud of our creations.

Believe in yourself.
