Fickle

Fickle

Today's devotional is from What Would Jesus Ask You Today?

"Was I fickle when I intended to do this?" - 2 Corinthians 1:17.

The dictionary definition of fickle is: "marked by lack of steadfastness, constancy, or stability; given to erratic changeableness." You will never accomplish anything for the Lord without learning how to set a goal and stick with it to the end (even though as in Paul's case in 2 Corinthians, he was unable to fulfill his stated goal).

What are the goals you are working on right now? What are your goals for the new year? If you are a good starter but poor finisher, why do you think that is? What are you afraid of that is preventing you from planning or following through?

Read Romans 15:23-29 and notice that Paul's success did not just happen; he gave it thought and had a plan. Follow Paul's example and develop a plan for your own life and work and then be diligent to carry it out.
