CityFibre reports first full year of profitability

CityFibre has recorded its first full year of profitability since starting its rollout, with a 34% revenue increase to £134m as customer take-up grows. Consumer revenues increased by 73% to £76m and an additional 181,000 net new customers joined. CEO Greg Mesch said: “2024 was a definitive year for CityFibre in which we achieved our first full year of profitability, and signed a new strategic partnership with Sky, which doubled our retail sales capacity.


Standhaven hire drives Glide's growth plans

Glide UK has appointed John Standhaven as the new Head of Education to grow its presence in the primary and secondary school sector by working with Local Authorities, School Trusts, and MSPs. He joins from Schools Broadband. Tim Pilcher , CEO of Glide, said: “John’s passion for supporting schools aligns with Glide’s values, and we’re confident that he will play a key role in growing our business in this market.”


Netomnia rollout continues in Liverpool

Netomnia has passed over 110,000 premises in Liverpool that are ready for service. Work continues in Sefton Park, Stoneycroft, and Aintree to connect even more premises, with plans to add 80,000 premises in two new locations in Liverpool by 2026. Zoltan Kovacs , MD at Netomnia, commented:?“Reaching 110,000 premises in Liverpool is a testament to our team’s dedication and commitment.”


Stone named Quickline CMIO

Quickline Communications Limited has appointed Frank Stone as Chief Marketing and Information Officer and is expanding its estate with a brand-new Customer Excellence Hub at its Willerby headquarters. The new building will house many of the company’s customer-facing teams, including Sales, Customer Services, Scheduling, and Customer Onboarding. Sean Royce , Quickline’s CEO added: “With Frank on board, we’re in a stronger position than ever to deliver exceptional products, services, and experiences that our customers deserve.


FullFibre to spur growth plans with VeloxServ

FullFibre Limited has formed a strategic partnership with VeloxServ to expand the connectivity options available to businesses across 11 counties and up to 160 towns served by the FullFibre network. Paul May , Head of Channel Management at FullFibre stated: “VeloxServ is now positioned for significant growth, expanding its wholesale connectivity offerings.


Sutherland joins Freedom Fibre as COO

Freedom Fibre has appointed Lindsey Sutherland as Chief Operations Officer (COO), bringing three decades of experience in engineering and IT roles to his new position.?He headed up the technology team at Community Fibre where he led the integration of a strategic acquisition and was CTO of the rapidly growing SaaS VOIP providers Nebula. Nathan Vautier , CEO at Freedom Fibre, commented: “Sutherland’s experience and vision align perfectly with our ambitions for the future of Freedom Fibre.”
