Blog - Why should you be using GRC in landscape design?

Last month, we took a look at the uses of GRC in interior design so we felt it was appropriate to shift our focus to the many uses of GRC in exterior spaces.

Possessing unparalleled weather-resistance and aesthetic adaptability, Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete (GRC/GFRC) remains perfectly suited for a range of outdoor applications, facilitating all manners of creative possibilities in landscape design.

The material's ability to be shaped into a wide variety of shapes and surface finishes allows for designers to create features that mimic materials such as stone or wood whilst reaping the benefits of GRC's lightweight and resilient characteristics. Moreover, GRC's green credentials make it a favoured choice for environmentally-conscious landscape design.

So, how are landscape designers utilising GRC in their projects and benefiting from the material's unique and versatile properties? Read more...

We regularly update our GRC Journal with content surrounding the GRC industry, you can find all of our blogs here.

Case Study - The Elizabeth Line

One of the largest infrastructure projects undertaken in Europe and the largest GRC project ever constructed in UK history, the Elizabeth Line is our latest GRC case study.

The Elizabeth Line stands as a testament to the capabilities of Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete. Part of the London Underground network, this major new rail system opened in May 2022 after 12 years in design, construction, and delivery. Consisting of 62 miles of track and 26 miles of new tunnels, with 10 new and upgraded stations, including some 9 to 10 floors below ground, the project required close collaboration between architects, engineers and GRC specialists to deliver an innovative, effective and beautiful solution to a highly complex challenge. Equipment Showcase - The PS10,000i Spray Station

High-performance personified, the Power-Sprays PS10,000i GRC Spray Station is specially engineered for the efficient spray application of Glassfibre Reinforced Concrete.

Based on a similar design to our already popular PS9000i Spray Station, the PS10,000i features a larger rotor/stator pump assembly for longer life and less downtime, making it very well suited for high-output production.

The spray station is easily manoeuvrable and has a low-level, extra-long material hopper for ease of loading. The twin section electric/pneumatic control panel is positioned at a convenient height to access the controls whilst all important components are protected within a waterproof cabinet (IP66 rated).

Download the PS10,000i brochure to learn more about its set of innovative features. Click here.

We offer free demonstration days where visitors get the opportunity to use a range of our specialist GRC equipment, get in touch if you're interested in booking:
