Fiber-Optic Fast Lane: Elevating Internet Access for Our Communities and Businesses

I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, one of the largest urban areas in the United States. Growing up, my grandparents would enchant me with stories of their simple, tranquil upbringing in rural Cuba, contrasting it with the frenetic, fast-paced environment that was the only home I knew. It shouldn’t have been a shock when my wife and I began to yearn for a slower, more spacious environment to raise my kids as they started to get older. Despite our concerns about losing connection to our friends, our family, and our roots, we took the leap and moved our three boys to the idyllic Holly Springs, North Carolina.

Imagine my enthusiasm, then, when I was invited to join #BrightspeedBusiness, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina to build and lead the team supporting Enterprise customers for the organization. The company’s mission of delivering a reliable, high-speed internet experience to businesses in communities that have historically lacked quality options for high-speed connectivity is now deeply personal to me. Brightspeed makes lives like mine, as someone who works remotely from my suburban home, possible. The company’s fundamental belief in parity and access means customers get to enjoy the charms of rural and suburban living, without sacrificing the essential connectivity they need to thrive.

Why Internet Equality Matters

Fast internet is like a well-paved highway allowing cars to travel quickly and efficiently from one destination to another. It enables data to flow seamlessly and swiftly across multiple digital platforms. As cloud-based applications become more prevalent, businesses and their workflows have become reliant on the ability to have a stable, high-speed internet connection to compete in today’s ever-changing business landscape.

?

Better internet. Better business.

In our interconnected world, reliable, high-speed connectivity should be a given, but all internet solutions are not created equal. No matter the location, your business deserves high-performance internet – offered in various speeds – that allows you to outpace the competition and delight your business customers and partners.

Faster internet speeds equal more efficient workflow, seamless communication, and superior customer experiences. And don’t forget about the time and cost savings that will enable your business to dedicate resources to core operations and optimize output.

I know delighting customers is good for business. That’s why I am dedicated to bringing better internet to our business customers. https://www.brightspeed.com/business

Bridging the Digital Divide

Brightspeed is building a smart network for consumers and businesses that want ultra-fast, reliable connectivity at a great value. The investment is in the long term, and it’s one that will help make a difference in rural and suburban communities for years to come. I believe our traditional offering is foundational and valuable, and that the company is wisely transforming it, not eliminating it. Future-proof, fiber-based internet will be offered throughout Brightspeed’s 20-state service area, mainly in the Southeast and Midwest.

?

A New Brand

As Brightspeed celebrates its 1-year anniversary, I continue to look and plan ahead. With a goal to deploy fiber to at least 3 million locations over the course of several years, Brightspeed is not just enhancing broadband. The company is building a new brand, and I see a bright future ahead.
