FIA Launches Grants Programme to Advance Safe and Sustainable Mobility

FIA Clubs are invited to apply now to the 2025 Mobility Grants Programme for support for initiatives advancing safe, clean, inclusive, and smart mobility, with CycleRAP, the Youth Engagement App (YEA) and Star Rating for Schools (SR4S) valuable free tools to support projects.

In 2025, the FIA – Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile Mobility Grants Programme, funded by the FIA Foundation , has been relaunched under a new name: the FIA Safe and Sustainable Mobility Grants Programme. This rebranding reflects the FIA’s vision of being a global voice in promoting safe and sustainable mobility by fostering collaborative action among its member Clubs.

The revamped programme will continue to support advocacy initiatives aimed at advancing safe, clean, inclusive, and smart mobility. Applications are open until 20 March 2025.??

FIA Club members can utilize iRAP’s free tools and methodologies, such as CycleRAP, Youth Engagement App (YEA), Star Rating for Schools (SR4S) to support initiatives that address key challenges in urban mobility, particularly those enhancing road safety and protecting vulnerable road users for a safer and more sustainable future:??

  • CycleRAP: An easy, affordable and fast method of evaluating road and bicycling infrastructure for safety. It aims to reduce crashes and improve safety specifically for bicyclists and other light mobility users by identifying high risk locations without the need for crash data.?

  • Youth Engagement App (YEA):?Intuitive digital risk-perception tool that allows students to map locations where they feel “safe” or “unsafe” or “very unsafe” on their journey to school.?

  • Star Rating for Schools (SR4S):?An evidence-based tool for measuring, managing and communicating the risks children are exposed to on a journey to school. SR4S is also a key tool of the FIA School Assessments Toolkit.??
