In 1870 the novelist Thomas Hardy, who was at that time a young architect, met Emma Lavinia Gifford, and high on the Dorset cliffs they fell in love. However the 37 years of marriage that followed were troubled to say the least.

The production that runs for approximately 75 mts without interval, will feature the celebrated talents of Susan Seddon and David Newham.

It previews at The Fan Museum in London for just one night during the Greenwich Performer’s Festival, on Friday October 11th, prior to its run at The Norwich Hostry Festival the following week.

Over half the tickets have been sold for the London event and the Norwich performances are expected to be popular too.
