It’s one of the main aspects of lead generation. It is a lifestyle, and many people don’t know how to do it correctly.
Let’s start with emails.
- First of all, you need to exhilarate your email, and you need to refresh it constantly. It’s impossible to generate leads from the outdated email or email that doesn’t match your target persona.
- Send emails with customization. Be personalized as much as possible. Email is still one of the main sources of lead generation.
- Don’t forget about signatures in your email. Without any doubt, you put much information into your emails and no information into your signatures. An email signature is an excellent lead generation tool. Add your social media links to the email signature.
Another place for Lead Generation is always Social Media. Join a few of them and collaborate genuinely. Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Clubhouse, ... are places where you can easily engage with potential leads.
- On other people’s posts, leave comments, and don’t be afraid to engage in other peoples’ conversations as well.
- Ask for endorsements and ask for reviews to your network. Customers trust reviews. Don’t hesitate to ask your old customers to publish a few sentences about you.
You must also increase your website traffic.
- Use SEO and keyword optimization, both on landing pages and blog content.
- Constantly post good content on your website.
In general, you must understand that generating good leads requires patience. You need to know where to look.
There are different platforms for lead generation. For example, for Software development, you can use Angellist, F6S, Opportunity, …..
Good Lead Generation is always the starting point of a simple sales process: Lead Generation, Showing up, Following up, and, of course, Closing.
There is no way to succeed in this simple sales process without excellent Lead Generation initially. Not even speaking about complex ones.
It all starting by building a relationship. You should be honest, persistent, disciplined, focused, and relaxed. How could you trust someone with their product if she’s not been honest with you, right? Try to understand that there is a human being on the other end of the line.
Spying on what your competitors are doing could also give you some tips and tricks to duplicate.
Be the one who reaches your customers. Don’t be afraid to do your job.
I often see people expecting to have good deals coming from the sky with a minimum of work. Unfortunately, it does not work like that. Somehow, Lead Generation is a tough and stressful job.
Try to value quality over quantity. 100 good leads are better than 1000 of not good leads. What a waste of time, isn’t it?
Always look for decision-makers and try to listen to what they have to say instead of you talking. They are quite busy people so, please, value their time without thinking about your time.
Stick to your sales process! Day in, day out, apply it relentlessly. That is the way you will fill your pipeline.
Always keep learning (Yep, you do not know everything), and surround yourself with winners. To succeed, you need a sober and clean, healthy mind. Don’t hesitate to take a break and go outside take a deep breath.
