The Few, The Proud, The Moraines
By: Stephen Tully
Nothing thrives in Adleria
Where vigilance keeps
Traditions bound
In small-town shuttered
Stubborn lives
Where dwindling ranks
Leave vacant the traces
Of un-shouldered weight
Borne only by elders
Who forestall the crush
Of great pressing stones
That kill off all faith
And leave in their place
Carved statuary
