A Few Chosen

I am excited about next week.  I was one of a few teachers chosen in the state of TN to determine a baseline for state scores on the new common core TN Ready test.  I am truly thankful and honored.  I hope to have a positive impact on our state, helping it be first to the top in all of its districts--whether it's suburban, urban, rural, or chartered.  I believe all kids can learn if they are taught in a way they understand.  Once they understand, it's easy to build new knowledge that expands their thinking.  I am so grateful to be part of this special committee.
